Lonene Crawford

I was born in Harlem and raised in the Bronx, I’m the proud mother of two well established adults thriving in their respective careers. I have a long history of serving my community in various capacities i.e. housing for Section 8 tenants and registering voters in the Obama campaigns. When I retired from the legal community as a paralegal I sought ways to continue contributing to my community in a volunteer role. I was able to fulfill this desire to serve by participating in two different reading programs in the Department of Education in classrooms in my community, as well as a Foster Grandparent through the NYC Department of the Aging with underserved children in Harlem school districts.

I was approached by my friend Angel Diaz with his awesome idea for a non-profit company to help the entire community in honor of his son, Mattheiu Diaz who left this world far too early at the age of 14.

I jumped at the chance to be a part of such a worthy venture from the ground up; building and molding Always Giving Season, Inc. to serve our collective communities. I am a founding member of Always Giving Season, Inc., a 501 (c)(3) non- profit company and the Treasurer.
It is truly rewarding to bring our collective ideas to fruition.
